Dance of Hope is a music and dance touring program/production by Heartbeat children. Through artistic expressions, these young people are able to showcase their full talent, while they bring joy to many people at the same time. Through Dance of Hope, children are able to nurse their inner pain but finding some happiness through singing, dancing and playing music traditional instruments. This program also provides a memorable opportunity to these children to travel around the world, connect with other children and the world, teach an engage in Education exchange programs with various schools and institutions.

In 2017, Heartbeat Children are having their debut North American tour with a music and dance production “DANCE OF HOPE”, a captivating and rich cultural experience bringing you on a journey across Africa. Passionate Rhythms, sensational Sounds, exhilarating and colorful choreography, all swirled in gorgeous and infectious smiles of children from the pearl of Africa.

This is unique opportunity that exposes all age groups to unforgettable performances, workshops, outreach and educational exchange programs. This vibrant music and dance spectacular brings Africa’s newest cast of performers aged 7 – 17 whose triumphant human turnaround stories have greatly inspired people from all walks of life to achieve greatness through their universal language of LOVE.

Outreach and Education

Our “outreach and education” is a residency program that gives you and your school the opportunity to spend an extended interactive time with Heartbeat children to learn and understand the music and lifestyle of Africa, its children and people. This program is designed for Elementary schools, Middle Schools and high schools and, will also provide the opportunity for your school to perform together with Heartbeat Children in a culminating concert for your community.

Components

  • Students will have the opportunities to experience the musical instruments, rhythms and melodies of Africa, and also have hands on experience to try several traditional instruments of Heartbeat Children.

  • Students will learn to sing Heartbeat Children’s songs and may create original compositions with Heartbeat Children in a workshop. They learn to improvise and may use dance movements to accompany the songs. They may also perform and record these songs any time.

  • Students will get a full understanding of the cultural features and importance of African music through multimedia presentation and interactions with Heartbeat Children. They will also learn deeper about the lifestyle and wildlife in Africa.
